Heidi Buchanan, Founder and Director of media mentor is a highly experienced media trainer. She has drawn on her experience as a public relations executive spanning more than 25 years to create a disciplined, thorough and strategic approach to media training.
She has run media mentor, specifically focused on media and presentation skills since 2008.
Since 1998, Heidi has been providing strategic advice to some of Australia’s best-known companies including top tier technology companies, investment banks and corporates in the retail, consumer and property sectors.
Prior to founding media mentor, Heidi was one of the youngest Heads of Public Relations in Australia, while working with Love Communications. She focused on growing the public relations team and strengthening the business within Love’s parent company, The Photon Group.
Heidi later became an Executive Director of another Photon Group company, Kinetics, focusing predominantly on technology brands and media training CEO’s, managing directors and senior business executives.
Heidi won the Weber Shandwick Worldwide “Young Achiever of the Year Award”. When she won the Award, Heidi researched best public relations practice in Silicon Valley, New York and Boston
She is dedicated to guiding clients from a range of industries to communicate messages through a range of different mediums. This ranges from a business television interview, making a presentation to 200 technology professionals or a roundtable with a group of Journalists.
Heidi holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of New South Wales with a major in Public Relations from the University of Technology, Sydney.
